Our Wheaton driving school has an affordable range of driving classes and driving lessons:
Silver - Basic program, meets minimum state requirements - 30 hours of interactive classroom instruction in two-hour sessions
- 6 hours of individual behind-the-wheel driver training done in one-hour sessions
- Lessons begin and end at our center so entire lesson is focused on individual training and each student's skill development
- 6 hours of on-the-road observation (required by IL law)
- Informative parent orientation session during the first class
- Program may enable insurance discounts for your teen (contact your agent)
Gold - Advanced, more convenient program - No observation required: complete in-vehicle training in 33% fewer hours!
- Silver program + 2 additional hours of in-vehicle training
- Other students may still observe your teen Gold student driver
- Extra hours can be used to enhance specific skills or to prepare for the state driving test
Additional Driving Lessons - Customized training for your teen - Customizable 2-hour sessions
- Use to prepare student for state driving test or to master specific skills
- Can address dangerous tendencies (e.g. speeding, aggressive or distracted driving) or gain experience in seasonal conditions
- Hours count toward toward the 50 hours parents are required to drive with their teen
