Teen Driver Education with Top Driver

Top Driver is dedicated to supporting teens throughout their entire driver's license journey. From classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training to obtaining a learner's permit and passing the road test, we are here to provide the resources and support necessary to succeed.

Teens can start driver’s education at 15 years old and apply for a learner’s permit at 15.

Students must complete 30 hours of classroom instruction through an approved driver education program.

At 15, teens can apply for their instruction permit by passing the knowledge and vision tests, showing required documents, and having a parent/guardian signature.

50 hours of supervised driving is required and must include 10 hours of night driving.

At 16 years old, after finishing driver’s ed, holding the permit for 6 months, and meeting practice requirements, teens can take the road test to earn their probationary license.
